Webinar: Getting Started with Open Source Compliance

Because it was such a success last August, we are bringing back the Getting Started with Open Source Compliance webinar on January 24th.  Details are included on the OpenLogic web site.  For those of you who attended my last webinar with OpenLogic, this webinar will also cover open source compliance, but will include new material examining the impact of current events on open source compliance, such as the pending release of GPLv3 and the FireStar patent infringement lawsuit against RedHat/JBoss.  Even if you already have an established open source compliance program this will be an opportunity to learn about some of the current issues to address in laying a legal and operational foundation for open source compliance in your organization.

I hope you are able to attend.

Webinar: Getting Started with Open Source Compliance

I thought you might be interested in an upcoming webinar that I will be doing with the folks at OpenLogic on August 2nd. While there has been a lot of discussion of late around the topic of “advanced” open source compliance (including more than a few presentations by yours truly), many of the companies that I have worked with have found the most daunting step toward compliance to be the first one. This webinar will focus on the initial steps you can take to lay a legal and operational foundation for open source compliance. Even if you already have a compliance program in place, this webinar will help underscore the importance of the steps you have already taken and maybe even present a few new ones that you have not yet considered.
More information is available on the OpenLogic web site. I hope that you are able to attend.
